Just Do it........
Famous Nike slogan came from a rather unlikely source - spree killer
Gary Gilmore, who received the death penalty for murdering two people in
Utah in July, 1976. Just before a firing squad did their duty, Gilmore
was asked if he had any last words. “Let’s do it,” he simply said. When
Dan Wieden of Wieden+Kennedy was tapped to create a tagline for Nike a
decade later, something about Gilmore’s words just seemed to fit.
“Let’s” was changed to “Just” to add a dash of emphasis.

POLITICAL EVENTS
Rajnath Singh has been elected unopposed as the new president of the BJP till 2015. The 61-year-old will lead the party as it battles the Congress in next year's general election.
Mr Singh was chosen for the BJP's top post after several senior leaders objected to a second consecutive term for Nitin Gadkari, whose last few months in office have been overshadowed by charges of corruption.

which was much applauded step. Here is
Amul’s creative take on Indian Prime Minister’s relation with the Crowned
Prince of Abu Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. There

US OPEN CELEBRATIONS
The tennis duo of Leander Paes and Sania Mirza, who won the U.S. Open mixed doubles and doubles crowns, their 17th and fifth Major titles respectively, in the company of former singles World No. 1 Martina Hingis. It is easy to dismiss these victories as nothing extraordinary. In fact, it is true that doubles as a format is on life-support. The Bryan brothers are famous, but how many know the second-best team of Horia Tecau and Jean-Julien Rojer? On the women’s side it has taken the Williams sisters and now Hingis to give it a fillip. It is also true that singles players are the ones who have revolutionised tennis: like a Li Na in China or a Kei Nishikori in Japan. In the Indian context it is a potent argument to make, particularly when the country is struggling to produce top-100 singles players. As for mixed doubles, it rarely exists outside the Grand Slams.

DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE
The Ad is based on the Ravindra chandra ashwin where Sri Lanka is not a place where you want to lose the toss as an opposition captain. Over the last 14 years, only two visiting captains have managed to win despite losing the toss. Virat Kohli raised the possibility of becoming the third after R Ashwin registered the best figures for an India bowler in the first innings of an away Test to bundle the hosts out for 183. India stumbled in response initially, but Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli steadied them with an unbroken 100-run partnership.

About Advertising
Advertising is like a Mirror of the society.
It reflects the beliefs, values and the behaviour of the people.
India is the world's second most populous
nation It is a land where the old and the new, the traditional and the modern,
and the local and the international coexist—sometimes comfortably, sometimes
not.
Today Indian advertising has the enormous job
of speaking to one of the world's most diverse populations. Television, radio,
and newspapers rely on more than two dozen languages, thus limiting the
communicative reach of many advertisements to certain geographic regions or
some sectors of society.
Advertising is a means of communication with
the users of a product or service. Advertisements are messages paid for by
those who send them and are intended to inform or influence people who receive
them.
The earliest forms of advertising were mostly
used for religious purposes. That is, advertising was in the form of
propaganda.
